The artist, Connie Hogenstad, was my very first friend in Salem.  Now, she and I are collaborating on a book.

My dear neighbor Lela (on the left) —————————————————->and her husband Wilbur work out at The Courthouse every morning, do a lot of hiking and are leaving for a safari in Kenya next week.  She turned 83 this year.  She is deeply committed to educational and social justice issues, and we are in two book clubs together. How cool is that?
