Passport Tips
First of all, don’t fly anywhere without one. You can’t even go to Canada or Mexico without one and it is your best ID if you get stranded in a country you didn’t even mean to be diverted to.
Second, do not let your passport expire. Much easier to renew it while it’s still valid. And allow plenty of time before your next trip.
Third, do not renew online. Just go to FEDEX and get two photos and take them with you to a federal building near you — could be a post office or courthouse. It will cost you a fortune if you use an “online expediter.”
Fourth, they say when you look as bad as your passport photo, it’s time to go home. After looking at the one I had taken this morning, maybe I should just stay home. Permanently. Ya’think it would invalidate things if I photoshopped in a turtleneck?

Just received the following email. Does anyone actually fall for this stuff?
“Good day,
I am Frank Dudley authorized to deliver your inheritance to you in your country.
You were made the beneficiary of total funds of US$10.5 Million dollars by the original benefactor whose details would be available to you at the point of handing over the funds to you in accordance with the Disbursement Agreement I signed with the benefactor’s estate management agents.
I have just arrived at the JFK International Airport in New York with your package (funds); however, I will need you to quickly verify the following information for proper identification to be sure that I am dealing with the right beneficiary:
1. Full Name
2. Address
3. Age
4. Occupation
5. Phone Numbers
6. A scan copy of Your Identification (e.g. Driver’s License) .
After verification of the information with record, you will be notified immediately for further arrangements on the time your package (funds) will be delivered to you at the address provided.
Please note that the requested information is crucial to the smooth delivery of your package and I urgently need it to proceed.
