Last year I think it was that Big Tex crashed and burned.  And this year he’s giving folks at the state fair a serious warning.  Would that a face mask or a little hand gel could prevent this plague!

We took out today at the Wheatland Ferry after a perfect fall day on the river.  It is a small ferry and can carry only nine vehicles — unless one of the vehicles is a huge farm truck loaded with just-harvested corn.
