Roxie and I walked down town today to See’s. I thought I’d bought enough chocolate Turkeys but, uh, one of them didn’t make it, so I had to go get another one.
At the pond on front of City Hall, we noticed that, in addition to the permanent statue heron,
there was a real one.
Look toward the back of the pond. You can see that it’s glazed over with ice, so this sign seems a little unnecessary:
A gingko had dropped all its beautiful leaves.
All except one.
“The last leaf clings to the bow. The last leaf. It’s all over now.”
That poor chocolate turkey! I wonder what happened to it. :).
I know! I can’t figure it out. But there is that Great Chocolate Turkey Monster who breaks in around here from time to time.
