What a year this week has been!

I keep hoping to focus on posting about my recent travels, but too much is happening on a daily basis. My photos are in crazy order and I seem to be unable post them anyway. Something changed with my blog provider. I’ll figure it out in due time.

But here’s what I really want to post today anyway.

What I want to hear from my president today is this:

My dear Americans. You are afraid. I understand that. I have heart-breaking concerns too. I wish I could give you more reassurance today than I can. Rest assured that I and my advisors are working tirelessly with the medical experts to alleviate your fears and to slow the spread of this pandemic, care for those who have the virus, and develop treatments, tests, and vaccines. These things will take time, and I deeply regret that. This is not anyone’s fault. Not China’s, not my predecessor’s, not our medical cohort. Please do what you can to prevent the spread of this disease by staying at home and know that I, your congress, and your governors are doing everything we can as well. I ask your prayers, your help, and your courage.
